How to Qualify

Golden Bull Award is open to all Malaysian SMEs across different business sectors. All nominees will be judged fairly and equally. To quality for the entry, you:

  • Need to be a Malaysian incorporated company
  • Must not be listed on any Stock Exchange
  • Must have an annual sales turnover as specified in each award category, i.e. SMEs with sales turnover below RM5 million will be contesting under the Emerging SMEs Award category; those equal to or above RM5 million will be under the Outstanding SMEs Award category. For service and service-related sectors, the maximum annual sales turnover is RM10 million. For SMEs with annual sales turnover of RM75 million and above up to RM150 million in the last three financial year will be contesting under the Super Golden Bull Award category
  • Can either be a parent company or a subsidiary. If the parent company participates, all subsidiaries will not be eligible
  • Subsidiary of a listed company will be eligible
  • Winners from previous years are eligible to participate
  • Must have audited financial statements for financial years 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010. (Those companies with financial year ended on 31 Jan, 28 Feb and 31 Mar, 30 April and 31 May must submit their audited financial statement for financial year 2010.)
